Ha so this blog has been sooo neglected...I mean really really neglected. By the looks of this blog I haven't been doing a thing since sometime in February! LOL if only that were true, unfortunately the lack of blogging is a direct correlation to how crazy life has become. Tis the season for softball, preschool pool playdates and EOG testing....oh yes and throw in there some rising middle school jitters and man we've got quite a spring. Well although this blog has been neglected I haven't stopped creating here are a few creations from this spring ....
all modeled and photographed by some fabulous boutique friends!

Wow, so okay this is one really really really neglected blog! The holidays have come and go here at Sweet Treat Boutique and it has been one crazy winter so far. It has been great to get back into the studio and start working on the new spring treats and I can't wait to start launching once again...it has been a long break it seems. Oh and some really exciting news.....Sweet Treat Boutique is now in a brick and mortar location here in the local Raleigh area! Whew, it has been soooo fun but soooo exhausting at the same time. This month STB partners with Lollygag boutique to open a new larger store location so be sure to check out photos of the new shop March 1st...or better yet if you are in the area stop by! Sweet Treat Boutique will also be hosting a fabulous Spring Fashion Runway event March 20th where the new pre-teen and teen lines will be unveiled!!!! So I hope that you all had a wonderful winter.....now bring on the spring!

Okay, so I have to admit I have become a woodland creature addict...well maybe not all creatures but definitely owls, and deer, and hedgehogs and ..... ok so maybe all woodland creatures. I think the smell of drying maple leaves has gone to my head!

So here are some of my favorite fall creations featuring well, woodland creatures of course and some of my favorite models too! A huge thank you to Maddie and Spenser for some really amazing shots (oh and their mommies too!)

For all of you who are not followers of BCheeky Boutique (shame on you!) here is my latest blog entry!!!

Well tis the season right???? It's only July and all ready we are up and running with boutique Christmas things....man and I still have a stash the size of Texas for summer time stuff!!! So here is a little piece I wrote in honor of the upcoming holiday launch season....think Twas the Night Before Christmas when reading.

Twas the 4th of July and fireworks were booming
but here in my room I fret Christmas is looming.
Time to be merry and jolly and bright
unfortunately, all I want is to sleep tonight.
I need to pull out my red and green stash
while wracking my brain for a design that'll bring cash.

So alas I must focus and start spreading the cheer
in hopes that some buyers will suddenly appear!
So tomorrow I'll start after my list of "to-do's"
the pool, a bike ride, softball tournament too!
I'll heat up the barbi and prep all the fixin's
yes then, maybe then, I can focus on mittens.

The day came and went and the sun was a scorcher
Now I guess I'd better get on with this torcher.
I'm lacking the Christmas spirit I fear
perhaps it'll help if I picture eight tiny reindeer.
Ah yes that's the ticket, think Santa and elves.
Now let me see what fabrics up on these shelves!

More red, more green, some gold, it's just right!
But wait just a minute I need a Euro delight...
Hot pink for sure will fix it up quick
no need to worry and make myself sick!
I've got this no problem I can't wait to be done
then its off to be modeled and that's when it gets fun!

You think you can stump me?
Not a chance now you see
a designers a designer no matter what the climate may be,
and a launch is a challenge, now that is the key!
It is why we continue to do what we know
it may make us crazy but it brings in the dough!

But what do I hear, a loud voice booms up the stair...
Sew faster, sew faster, oh do I dare?
Perhaps if I'm quiet he'll go back to bed
and then my addiction will fully be fed!
Now I hear him exclaim out into the night
come to bed dear, no more boutique stuff tonight!

Oh what a drag I was on such a roll
but lack of sleep I'm afraid really takes a toll.
I've stifled that itch, the urge to create
and now I can rest with this launch off of my plate.
So I guess until next time I'll have to put it away
but who's to say I can't begin designing for Valentine's Day?

So I know I am truly not good at this bloggin' thing. I cannot remember half the time what I am supposed to be making for dinner forget about making sure that I'm blogging!!! I said I would try and apparently I am just not trying hard enough :( Well at least now you know that I obviously do not keep a journal or I'd be sooooo much better at this.

That said just got back from a photo session with the girls and thought I'd share some cute shots....

Whoa...talk about super duper size...one day I'll figure this all out but for now just be glad I at least remember to check in....well occassionally!

Okay so I have to admit, blogging.....not my thing. I am still trying to figure out how to make a collage in Photoshop so this is like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro!

I am going to give the old college try though and see what may come of it!
